Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and then get a quote, start a trial, or sign up for a product, the company behind that link may pay us a commission. This page explains how that works in plain language, as required by the Federal Trade Commission (16 CFR Part 255).

What this means for you

• You never pay extra.Commissions come out of the company's marketing budget, not your price. Clicking an affiliate link costs you nothing.
• You are never required to click. Affiliate links are optional next steps, not part of using the tool itself.
• We label them. Any page that carries affiliate links shows a short disclosure line next to them, so you always know before you click.

How we choose what to link

We link to companies whose products match what the page is about, such as insurance quote comparison services or career and resume tools. A commission never changes what our analysis says: the tool's output is generated from the content you submit, and our guides say the same thing whether or not an affiliate link is present. We do not accept payment to change a verdict, a grade, or a recommendation in our content.

What we are not

We are an independent publisher. We are not an insurance agent or broker, a lender, a law firm, a recruiter, or an employer. When you click through to a partner, you are dealing with that company under its own terms and privacy policy. We make no promises about the prices, approvals, or outcomes a partner will offer you, and we are not responsible for their products or services.

Tracking

When you click an affiliate link, we record the click in our own analytics (which page, which partner) so we can tell which pages are useful. The partner and its affiliate network may set cookies on your device to credit the referral. Those cookies are governed by the partner's privacy policy, and our own cookie rules are described in our Privacy Policy.
